JAMES COUTURE B.S. James Couture was mentored for over three decades by Maestro Jerome Couture M.S.T. (President and founder of The Music School, Inc. and a master teacher and performer on 21 instruments). His early instruction was on violin, followed by piano which quickly led to guitar, bass, composition, drums and live sound installations for concerts. James earned his B.S. in business administration from Portland State University, and has been teaching at The Music School for over a decade. He is currently working with Jerome to develop a unified theory about how people learn based upon the thousands of lessons taught at The Music School and research done throughout the scientific world, and filming a series of teaching videos based upon that theory. An avid athlete, James played college basketball and competed in the 2004 Portland Marathon.
